Scheduling and Rescheduling Takes Too Long and is Frustrating
When dealing with homeschool lesson planning it can be very difficult to get things right, especially when dealing with several students and starting to bring in tutors for some subjects. Each child needs its own rhythm and motivation.
The first step: don’t over schedule
It is hard to aim for the correct amount of lessons for the student over time. Adjust the lessons so that there is always a buffer for problems. There will be something that will take longer than planned so there has to be some time the student can take to finish the work. This can be done by leaving some part of the day open for hiccups or some day in the week where there are no lessons scheduled. Here it is important to remember that homeschooling is all about bringing the lessons to the student that the student needs to thrive and not hold him back. Don't feel like a curriculum used in a large school now has to work in your home. Homeschooling is all about fitting a lesson plan to the student that works best. This is where Homeschool Flex shines, we have many scheduling and rescheduling options that are easy to use with any curriculum or even a combination of curriculums. There are also many ways to schedule single lessons, multiple lessons from a workbook and even AI scheduling and rescheduling.
The second step: schedule the right amount ahead
Some people like to schedule the whole school year at a time, some schedule semesters, some months, some weeks and even one day at a time. This can be very different from one student to another where it is easy to have one student follow a long schedule and then there are other students that need more flexibility. As a parent that homeschool we have to remember to make adjustments to give the students the opportunity for best development. Homeschool flex makes this very easy to do with all the different scheduling options.
